Kiss Kiss Kiss are four boys from the hinterland of Aarhus who play charming and melodious rock with references to pioneers such as Blondie, The Cure, The Kinks, David Bowie, Gang Of Four etc. Kiss Kiss Kiss only have 18 months and barely 40 concerts under their belts. Despite of this they have already supported bands such as Dúné, The Floor Is Made Of Lava, Albert Hammond Jr. (from The Strokes), won a Danish Music Award, gained a lot of press coverage and played at Roskilde Festival 2008.
In December last year the band finished their self-financed EP ’HECTOR’ with producer Ole Gundahl (I Am Bones, The Late Parade, Dúné, Tiger Tunes) and Søren Balsner (Carpark North). The godfather of the Danish DJs Kjeld Tolstrup pricked up his ears and played the song ’Hector’ on P3’s listener magnet ’The Black Scouts’ (De Sorte Spejdere), which made ’Hector’ a growing hit.
The increasing interest for Kiss Kiss Kiss was cemented when the band received a Danish Music Awards in the upcoming category ’The MySpace Award’. The award was given at the DMA show in Glassalen in Tivoli on February 25th where Kiss Kiss Kiss opened the show in front of a lot of important people from the Danish music business.
The countries outside Denmark have also discovered the band from Aarhus, hence Kiss Kiss Kiss played two shows in Berlin in December 2007 and in February they were invited to the Norwegian festival by:Larm (the Norwegian version of SPOT). -S-
