Happy 34th birthday to yet another fan of Freddie @KatyPerry . "Freddie Mercury was - and remains - my biggest influence. The combination of his sarcastic approach to writing lyrics and his 'I don't give a fuck' attitude really inspired my music.” . P.S. I'm not personally a big fan of Katy Perry's music but I love that she was inspired by Freddie's personality (and not just Queen music per se) to find her voice and express herself the way she wants. And I guess that's one of the biggest influences Freddie can have on everybody. To not just play music but to learn to actually be yourself and not be afraid of any barriers that may come your way. That's how Freddie's impact goes far beyond the music world because he's not just a musical genius but a larger than life character who continues to be a huge inspiration to ALL. .
