Kenneth Dahl Knudsen is touring the world 2013/14 with his "Clockstopper" album together with his internationally collected highly professional jazz-group. The music is controlled by impulses, and its composed ensemble music with strong elements of improvisation and interaction. A strong scandinavian heritage grasps an ensemble, that streches to all the corners of the world.
Despite of Kenneth’s young age, he has already shared the stage with Jazz heavies such as:
John Scofield, Gilad Hekselman, Dick Oatts, Joel Frahm, Evan Christopher, Johnathan Blake, Jaleel Shaw, Pheeroan AkLaff and many many more.
Kenneth Dahl Knudsen
- born in 1984, currently based in Berlin, Germany - grew up in the small town Arden in North Jutland, Denmark.
As a teenager, Kenneth was facinated with all kinds of music and decided to pick up the bass at the age of 15. The bass ressonated with him and as a natural thing he has devoted his life to be passioned about music and composition. This burning passion has so far brought him great recognition as a musician worldwide. On the side of an international music-carrer he has also earned a Masters Degree from the Royal Academy of music (DK).
2009 - Runner-up in Young Jazz Competition, leading the band CrashnBurn.
2010 - Awarded “Jazz musician of the year in Northern Denmark”
2011 - Finalist in the DPA Jazz composition competition with his tune “The Haze”.
2012 - Awarded Jazz musician of the year at Sæby Jazzfestival.
