Nomineringer klar til MTV Video Music Awards

De nominerede til MTV’s årlige Music Video Awards er netop blevet offentliggjort. Ikke uventet fører Missy Elliott an med otte nomineringer for hendes "Work It". Justin Timberlake er nomineret syv gange med videoerne til "Cry Me A River" og "Rock Your Body".

På tredjepladsen med seks nomineringer ligger årets store overraskelse Johnny Cash (billedet) med den fremragende Mark Romanek-instruerede video til "Hurt". "Jeg er overvældet over denne store ære. Jeg takker jer alle for, at I tænker på mig. Det er 48 år siden, jeg indspillede min første plade, og det er rart, at folk stadig graver dem frem," skriver Cash i en pressemeddelelse.

Den store prisuddeling sendes den 28. august med Chris Rock som vært.
