Questlove kommer med 40 grunde til, hvorfor Prince var "hiphop-pioner"

Den prominente trommeslager fra The Roots og dermed også Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Questlove, har for nylig skriblet en 40 punkter lang liste ned over grunde til, at Prince var så stor en kunstner, som han var – og en hiphop-pioner.

Trommeslageren krediterer blandt andet Prince for at ”overvinde fattigdom”, ”tog de tabubelagte modefænomener og gjorde dem mainstream og acceptable” og ”han kunne lave et helt album på kun en uge”. Og "for at finde på fiktive baggrundshistorier, så pressen kunne blive ved med at gætte", ligesom  "Parental Advisory (advarselsskilt på plader med "direkte tekster") blev opfundet på grund af ham".
