Hør Tom Waits og Keith Richards fremføre sømandssang

I 2006 udkom antologien "Rogue's Gallery", hvor navne som Nick Cave, Jarvis Cocker og Lou Reed fortolkede søens sange. Og nu er antologiens bagmænd klar med en opfølger, som vil byde på endnu flere legendariske navne.

Med på "Son of Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys'" er således såvel Marianne Faithfull og Dr. John som Beth Orton og Shane MacGowan, og hertil kommer så kollaborationer mellem Tom Waits og Keith Richards, Michael Stipe og Courtney Love og endelig Patti Smith og skuespilleren Johnny Depp.

Sidstnævnte er i øvrigt den ene af tre bagmænd bag antologien, som udkommer den 18. februar på Anti Records.

En af sangene, "Shenandoah" fremført af Tom Waits og Keith Richards, er netop blevet offentliggjort, og du kan høre sangen her.

GAFFAs Lars Löbner Jeppesen uddelte fem flotte stjerner til første del af antologien, og skrev blandt andet: "Men når alt kommer til alt, er der ingen grund til ikke at sætte sejl mod den nærmeste pladebiks og lange en klofuld dukater over disken, for derefter at søsætte jollen og hælde en halv flaske rom inden for vesten".
