Bandet modtog prisen for årets album til uddelingen af Q Awards i London
Den eneste kunstner som modtog mere end en pris, da det engelske musikmagasin Q uddelte sine Q Awards mandag aften var Florence & The Machine, men det var The National, der vandt Årets Album for udgivelsen "High Violet".
Florence vandt for Best Track for "You Got The Love" og Best Female, men det var ikke blevet til en nominering for bedste album, hvor The National løb med prisen foran Arcade Fire, Gorillaz, Paul Weller og Plan B. Sidstnævnte fik dog noget kærlighed i kategorien Breakthrough Artist, hvor han vandt foran Ellie Goulding, Laura Marling, Lissie og Villagers, og også i kategorien Best Video, hvor han medvirker på sangen "End Credits" med Chase & Status.
Derudover var der en Hall Of Fame-pris til Take That, Paul McCartney modtog en Classic Album-pris for Wings-albummet "Band On The Run" og årets Q Icon blev Bryan Ferry. Green Day vandt som Best Live Act, og så blev det Kasabian, der kunne modtage prisen Best Act In The World Today.
